If you’ve been reading for a while then you will know that I have a friend called Twinnie. Well I call her that because she has gorgeous twin girls Miss B and Miss L. Last year, for their first Birthday, Twinnie threw them the most amazing pink party. Everything was perfect to the smallest detail.

This year, it was just going to be a casual get together in the park. You can see she stuck to the plan can’t you?

That casual gathering turned into a carnival party with a red, blue and yellow theme and again, every detail was thought of. Her mum made the gorgeous cushions for the kids to play on.

The girls were given a mini jumping castle for their Birthday and it was a hit with the kids and the adults (the adults were happy it wore the kids out).

One of the most fun parts of the party was the photo booth. Twinnie sourced and made an exciting collection of props and Ollie and I had a great time posing for our photo.

Ignore my double chin pose. It was tricky to get Ollie lined up and make myself look half decent at the same time.

Of course the food was amazing. There were little cups for the kids to make up their own snack boxes, red velvet cake pops, mini quiche and an essential kids party food item – sausage rolls. I ate my fair share of party food and Ollie’s share too.

The cakes were just stunning. I would have had a hard time cutting into them they looked so good.

I’m pretty sure the Birthday girls loved their cakes.

After cake we had a little play and Ollie had his first every go on a slippery dip. I don’t think he really cared for it but true to style, he just went along with it.

When I said every detail was thought of I meant ever detail. See those white bags on the ground? They’re the party bags for the babies who attended. Ollie got some cute little toys, a bath book and some rusk sticks.

Thank you for a wonderful party Twinnie. I can’t wait for number three!

What about you, what’s your favourite kids party food?
